Susan Carpenter Noble grew up as a horse-crazy kid in Pennsylvania. After four summers as a working student at a NJ Hunter-Jumper stable and a Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University, she moved to Colorado to intern with legendary horseman/clinician Monte Foreman. From there she went on to learn from every top horse trainer she could find while establishing herself as a clinician, instructor, and trainer.
She trained horses and coached students to championships in Western Reining, Western Riding, Horsemanship, Barrel Racing, Equitation, Dressage, Hunter, and Jumper competitions, while free-lancing how-to articles for national and regional horse magazines in her spare time.
When a riding student complained to her that nobody was writing books for horse kids, she took up the challenge with her Horse Kids Don’t Quit series.
