Submission Guidelines – Authors

Submissions are currently open.

We are actively accepting agented submissions for middle-grade stories, only.

We are a traditional publisher who considers our authors as partners in an author/publisher relationship. We encourage our authors to maintain a current author webpage and at least one social media account as a tool to promote positive materials (their books, blogs, visuals) which are suitable for children and families.

 

Submitting to Young Dragons :

We are currently looking for author/illustrators, as well as authors. We publish authors, especially those who plan to write more than one book. We are also open to author/photographers who use photography to tell or enhance a story. As a traditional publisher, we consider our authors partners in the author/publisher relationship.

Young Dragons publishes creative, socially conscious, educational, and humorous fiction and non-fiction titles for children of all ages. We are actively seeking middle grade (MG) books, fiction and non-fiction. Series are desired as they allow the readers to follow and develop a relationship with the characters.

Young Dragons is looking for:

-Real children in real-world experiences

-Books that talk about other cultures and represent the diversity present in our society.

-Compelling stories about life, the world, or the joyful journey that we call childhood

-Non-fiction and biography

For those who are author/illustrators or author/photographer, please make sure you include a sample of your artwork/photography with your submission.
