He’s One Full Moon Away From Becoming the Monster He Fears

Seventh grade is rough… especially when you’re a werewolf.

Every full moon, twelve-year-old Carl Lamont turns into something wild, hungry, and dangerous. After a tragic accident forces him and his dad to flee, they end up in Blairstown, New Jersey, his mom’s eerie hometown and the one place she warned them never to go.

At first, Blairstown feels like a fresh start. Carl makes friends. He fits in. He almost believes he could be normal again. But the woods whisper secrets. People vanish. Something out there is watching. Carl isn’t the only werewolf in Blairstown, and the others are faster, stronger, hungrier. They won’t wait for the full moon, and they know exactly who—and what—Carl is.

Now they’re coming for him.

For his friends.

For his family.

If Carl wants to survive, he’ll have to stop running… and start hunting.

About the Author

Richard DuBois

Richard DuBois fell in love with monsters, horror, and all things spooky at an early age. An avid reader, Richard graduated from reading Edgar Allan Poe at age nine to books by Stephen King and Dean Koontz in his teens. With the birth of his son in 2008, Richard began writing for children. He wanted to give his son the kind of page-turning, sleep-with the-lights-on fiction he enjoyed so much as a child. In addition to writing, Richard’s main interests are physical fitness, hosting parties, reading, exploring haunted or abandoned places that more sensible people would avoid and, of course, being a dad. His ideal evening would be with his son and some friends, the lights dimmed low, a fire glowing in the fireplace, a bowl of popcorn salty and slathered in butter, and a horror movie on the television. He lives in Piscataway, New Jersey, with his son and rescue dog, Boris.
